Tikka M595 rifle stock (with custom paint finish)

For sale: The stock is off a Tikka M595 .222 and in as new condition. Not sure who did the paint job but its finished off very nice in a dark green with light grey and brown flecks. Profile is from a heavy sporter/light varmint, width at end of action is 30mm and muzzle end 20mm. Looking for 100 ONO

I've been squinting at this too. It's not a Tikka OE stock. It's an aftermarket job - probably in the finish it first appeared in.

There isn't a thumb cutout on the side of the stock for the magazine release - which works on a rocker switch inside the action well. The pistol grip cap isn't M595/M695 either.

You can probably snap the magazine in ....... but my next thought was how does one get it out? Ideas - anyone
If I'm going to be accused of it then it's just as well I did it.

Ah. That explains it. The pic. of the stock is upside down.

The magazine release catch is on the RHS side of the stock in both RH and LH models. That's why Tikka moved the release to the trigger/floorplate in the T3.
