HSB. Not one I've heard of, but sounds interesting. http://www.rmvh.com/20-250%20-%20Why%20the%2020-250.htm I read a lot about 20 cals and more exotic .22 centrefires, but so far I've resisted the temptation. Regards JCS

Whoah !! Fearsome round that ! Nice link but I won't be making one of those ,I'll stick to my boring .223 and .260 I think.

    Makes a .22-250 look tame

How on earth can it be appropriate for cwd and muntjac.

    .22 minimum calibre.....

My dalliance with one was fairly short lived.
Forget the velocities claimed by Todd Kindler. I am convinced that his chronograph is broken.
That said, it was exceptionally accurate and, as it had a no-turn neck, the case forming was a doddle.

No, it is the 22-250 necked down to .20 calibre.

Just found this on another forum

The 17/22-250 has been done already. Called the "Flintstone Super Eyebunger" you can find the info on it in P. O. Ackley's Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders, Volume 2.

Short bit of information given says it's way overbore, obviously, and that the 25 grain bullet would penetrate 1/2" inch of mild steel at 4500 FPS. Tests were done with a 24" Barrel and loads listed top out at 4444 FPS. Some of which, it's stated, would be too hot for other rifles.

Same volume gives velocity readings up to 4187 FPS using the same bullet and the 17/223 Remington Magnum case.
