    signs & indicators of over pressure

    Hi folks
    Seen a few posts lately from reloading newbies & I include self in that category .
    Just thought that a wee thread with some tips on what to look for when yer loads are approaching Max level

    Im hoping that the more experienced will jump in here

    For me signs I've experienced
    1) unusual tightness of lifting the bolt & extraction of brass after a shot ( these I full length size rather than just neck size)

    2) cracked or split brass

    3) flattened primers ( this I would like more pics info on as not sure I could ID it )


    Please feel free to add help others & myself

    smiley face on the base of cartrige half moon sako stamped on your bolt face is a sure sighn that things are going tits up primers faling out primers with firing pin hole in them seperation of case at base mostley belted magnums
