Load data for .3006 165g RWS DK

Does anyone happen to have any data on loading RWS 165g DK heads in .3006 as the RWS manual is quite hard to find.

hi this is using viht n550,
this gives the best velocity at nearest 100% case capacity. 59 gr would be a maximum load. it would be best to work up from maybe 55gr in .5s. watch for pressure all the way.

IMR and hodgdon 4350 are also good for this load. imr gives slightly better velocity for capacity used

    Thanks ruki

Are these loads specific to the RWS DK heads or for 165g in general?

    loads

They are especially for those rws DK bullets. I use sierra gameking 165s over 60 gr of imr 4350. to be honest if you start at a conservative start load (10% below max or something) and work up steadily the data will be good for all.

Excellent. I hope I can return the favour some time. I usually use a 6.5x55 with 140g partitions, which I find excellent, but I am starting to really like the flexibility of the .3006.

    .30-06

yeah it is a truly great round. I have shot munties to reds with it. for a long time i used only speer 150s and it was excellant but as i now have a great 7mm08 i have turned the .30-06 to a longer range piece where the speed and accuracy of the gameking are very good. 3000 fps at the mzzle with 165 gr is very potent.

    glad to have hekped

My "Wiederlader" Book ed. 5 has one load for the RWS DK(2146045) 165gr:
57gr of Hodgdon H4350, WLR primer, COL of 77.0mm, speed 834m/s at a pressure of 3563bar (max would be 4050bar for the 30-06).

    cheers
    edi

    ps:
multiply speed by 3.28 for fps

Cheers for the Hodgdon data, one of these options should do the trick.
