    Ruger M77 age??

    is there any way of finding out the year of manufacture of Ruger rifles

    If has been proved in the UK you can use the topic I pasted elsewhere on the Forum as "Proof Date Codes" to do this. Otherwise I guess an e-mail to Ruger's customer service with the serial number?

    i looked up my ruger no1 on there web site with the serial number which gave a year of production hope this helps

    i had a read of the link you posted in one of the other sections but i will be honest it made no sense at all to me lol i cant find any stamps other than the usual serial numbers etc, although there is a very tiny one diamond with what looks a '9R' type symbol inside it on the barrel, and a 'D' on the under side of the action.

    that was my first port of call but couldnt find any info on age verification. Sturm, Ruger Co., Inc. this is where i looked
