    most durable light moderator

I would like to get an as light as possible moderator. As we are not in a position to get him serviced easely, we need a model that is strong and reliable. I like the A Tec CMM4 a lot. Are these aluminium moderators strong enough to give years of trouble free use in normal stalking conditions. It wont be used on the range.

An A-tec will not let you down. There superb lightweight, hardy and good noise reduction.Glendine.

As owning a moderator is tricky here, I want to buy one wich is OK from day one and stays like that for a while. I like the idea of a light CMM4, but wouldn't mind going up to 300/400 gram if the mod is a lot stronger and more silent. The moderators in the 500/700 gram class are not my cup of tea. I'll have a look at the hardy gen 4 .

The Hardy is "over the barrel" weighing in at 290g and adds just 100mm to barrel length. The ATEC is lighter still, at 220g, but "end of the barrel" so adds 160mm

Not much between them, so flip a coin or try and find a dealer that has both and try them on your rifle for weight and balance. Might be worth coming over here to the CLA Game Fair as I'm sure both will be on display

I love my atec cmm4, very light, doesn't change the poi even when used on the range which is every week and at least 10 reasonably quick shots at a time

Have a look at the AimZonic mate . . .I'm really close to ordering one . . 5 year guarantee . . . . the ATEC is only 2 years.
