    I second that.

The thing is that "the people" are a whole load of individuals with differing views and concerns. The question is "which people" and "how many of them".

"Cons" the word say it .... they will pretend to listen as usual and then do exactly what they want, saying it's the best thing for us all.

Odd, but labour are just the same and always have been.

Get rid of the parties and change the system, as it only works for "them." You may think your vote changes things, but I fear it doesn't and never will .... of course we do get the dregs ......

The tories ,labour and libdumbs only listen to those who will benefit them either with hard cash (discreetly hidden) or with MORE political power ! WE the PEOPLE are paid lip service at best ,until there is a revolution or revolutionary party (UKIP) comes along to rattle their comfy seats.

UKIP's not a revolutionary party, it's a reactionary one. That doesn't mean that they don't represent a legitimate section of opinion, but the appeal mostly seems to be that they want Britain to be how it used to be rather than how it is. Well you can't opt out of the world. It's just not on the cards.

They probably don't mind deerstalking though.

Nothing wrong with that in my book.

Well I cant see that only wanting valued immigrants (as others do) or wanting to make our own laws (as others do) is opting out of the world. And I do think they are causing a bit of a revolution in British politics at the moment.
