    Level 1 -done!!!!

Just a wee note to say I passed my level 1 today. I decided on the weekend option at South Ayrshire Stalking http://www.ayrstalk.co.uk/ as I would struggle to find the time for a 3 or four day course. The are only 35 miles from my home so I could travel to and from without the need for an overnight stay as well.

Obviously there is alot of information to take in so a fair bit of home study was required before attending and Saturday was a revision day to iron out any creases with assessement on Sunday.

Pleased to say that I got 50/50 on the general paper & 40/40 om the large game/hygene and 20/20 on the visual so a 100% pass.

Mind you had 3 attempts at the 4" target but got the 6 shots in the roe killing area no problem first time.

Huge thanks to Chris, Anne and Glen @South Ayrshire Stalking for an enjoyable informative couple of days . Also thanks to Steve, Graham & Dave for the craic.

Just need to find a local (ayrshire) mentor to point me in the right direction (on my own ground) for level 2

Good to see you got home safely. Enjoyed the weekend. Did mean to ask you if you came on here but it slipped my mind. Mentioned to the other Steve about the SD so hope to see him and his brother on here soon.

Could hardly let you get a better mark on the assessement after you out shot me.

A lot will depend on the course you are doing. I chose a 1 day revision before the assesement therefore had to do a fair bit of studying. (South Ayrshire Stalking)

Dont take anything for granted because contrary to popular belief you can fail the course. A guy on ours was there again to do the shooting test and deer recognition modules again having failed a few weeks previously.

Good luck, where are you doing your level1?
