Im in the process of making a modern 275 for myself and have done so for others in the past using a 275 spec reamer - have you considered doing with with a long action donor rifle?

Tikka or Sako donor would make lovely classic stalker.....

    No problem

there are plenty about, a search via google brought this up

Used Rigby Custom .275 Rifle for sale | GunStar.

theres another site with a selection of Rigby rifles for sale including one in the calibre you want - at 5k...

They are lovely classic stalking rifles - the company are still making them in London if you were to contact them I'm sure they'd take a commission for a new one - there are some very good examples of their current work on the Accurate Reloading forum (Custom Built section)

May help your search to know the .275 rugby is the same as a 7x57 and 7mm mauser

    hello,
just a bit of advice , I have had a few of these and if you are buying one try and find built in the 20-30`s as this was there best time for quality. Also a lot of them are a killer to home load for as they are sometimes chambered for there heavier weight bullets and it is hard to get close to the rifle lands with lighter bullets.

And if you find one with the rigby/Holland & Holland scope mount but missing the top section/rings you can add another 700 to put it right.

    regards
    chris

Thanks for all replies, Chrisc is exactly right, I am ideally after a 1900 to 1930 Rigby with either H&H rings, or none at all, with the rest of the rifle as original as possible ie not re-barrelled or re-stocked.
Not the easiest or cheapest thing to find I am sure!
