I have 90gr HP, 100gr HP, 130gr SP, BT, SST, 135gr HP, 140gr SP, BT, 150gr SP in various quantities

the bullet I go to everything every time now?
    130SP

its what the .270 was designed for IMO
run at slightly lower than factory speeds (2900-3000fps)
more energy than pretty much any other load unless they are run at silly speeds
as flat as you will ever need

I've loaded for the 270 WIN for a number of years . I used to have a 270 WSM that I loaded for and now I have a 270 Weatherby that I load for now .

We have alot of folks around here that say they need the 140-150 grainers for deer . Also have a few folks around here that shoot groundhogs with a 270 because it's the only rifle thay have and use 90-110 grainers .

In my own use over the years in all three of the 270 caliber cartridges I've owned I have ONLY used 130 grain bullets and with great luck I might add !

I keep 130's in the Nosler BT , Nosler PT , Nosler AB , Barnes TSX , Hornady SST , Hornady IB , Sierra ProHunter , Sierra Gameking and the Combined Technology BST .

Now I've killed several groundhogs with a 270 shooting 130's , never over 200 yards I might add . But anyway thats the extent of my knowledge on 270's that have been in my stable .
