    Stalking on MOD land

This is a query relating to stalking on MOD land. Does anyone know how to access it? As a serving member of the forces I am frustrated that it is not clear or easy to access.

The link to H4H is that it really ought to be available to the serving soldiers who are spending so much of their lives in Afghanistan.

There was an article in Shooting Times a couple of years ago about a soldier who was stalking on Salisbury Plain- it talked about how the MOD grounds were reserved for serving and retired services people .Might be worth contacting the editor.Good luck.

Or try through the Services Branch of the BDS:

    "Defence Deer Management (DDM).
The British Deer Society (BDS) is the national body, which promotes the correct management of deer in this country and provides advice to Government and other bodies. The Services Branch British Deer Society (SBBDS) is a special interest group within the BDS, and as DDM, is responsible to EST for the running of the MOD Deer Management
Scheme. DDM is composed of volunteer members of the three Services, MOD civilian employees and retired MOD employees."

If the two members of the BDS that caused all the stink on the Arran scheme were anything to go by I would'nt like to take that statement without salt Willie!

Just a quick line to close this one.

Have got in touch with the key person and all is progressing well. Lots of sensible advice and I am looking forward to joining up.
