    Barnes Varmint Grenade

My second balls up of the day was the purchase of a box of 62 grain HP Barnes varmint grenade bullets in 6mm/ .243
Research I should have done beforehand indicates that they are not universally popular!
Any suggestions for a load that might work with N160 ? (for a .243)
    Again , Thanks

What are you using them for?

N160 will be to slow for it I'd think.

will give you some guidance but as you note, reloading data with Viht will be thin...

not universally popular! ill sayso never met a fox that liked them deadly accurate in mine with varget and h4895/h414

Same with me, varget load was very accurate.

Thank You chaps - all helpful stuff as ever
The idea was I that it might help reduce the local fox population - I suppose I was just trying to avoid laying out on another type of powder and varget seems to be impossible here in Shropshire
Additionally I am using a rifle with a 1 -10 twist and now I have bought them and i get home to read up I gather that some people have a problem stabilising them
Guess I will have to try and see what happens
Keep your collective fingers crossed for me tonight as i have a fox trap set up in my (urban) garden - should I catch one i aim to release on my son in laws farm and hope that I can aim and fire faster than him! - giving it a sporting chance of course
    Again My Thanks
    Ed

    N160 is not ideal
N140 would be a better choice
