    Boar with Slugs!

Hi guys, anyone here know the law with taking an FAC shotgun and slugs abroad to France for the Boar?Got my interview Wednesday. They are fine with me having it for the crows and practical shotgun.Want to know how to approach the subject properly.Thanks,Tim.

If I'm not mistaken, you're not allowed to use a shotgun with a capacity of more than three shots for hunting in France. Even the semi-auto rifles, very popular for driven boar, are limited in that they're not allowed to have detachable magazines. It's worth checking, but I'm pretty sure I'm right, certainly on that second point.

3 shot max in France.... slugs are fine though. Your can put a reflex sight on the dovetail of a standard escort though... and they are cheap but reliable just for a piggy shotgun.

slugs are fine in parks but all our open forest shoots that we use do not allow them

I set up my Browning gold 5 shot with a reflex sight for our last trip to Poland for a driven hunt, had a couple of one shot kills ,but then up against a big pig running full of adrenalin, I shot it 5 times, it went down to every shot, but got up an ran on before going down for the last time, I was very disappointed and pretty certain I will revert back to my .308 for the next trip....
