Hi chaps just wondering what the difference is between the above 2 scopes? Is it just the age?

I have looked on Meopta's website and only the Artemis 2000 is on there.

Any marked difference in quality as they both have the 4B reticle,

Cheers

Artemis 1000 and Artemis 2000.
I have one of each.
The 2000 has rounded turret caps and the word 2000 on the occular.
No discernable difference in optical quality.
Meopta say the glass in the 2000 is slightly better.
The ret is narrower in the 2000.
Other than that, age as you say.
the 2000 was available in 2004 at least. So a 1000 is ten years old.

Ah ok mate thanks I never knew the 7x50A was the earlier 1000 scope.

I just recently bought 1 of each 2nd hand and thought the crosshairs were a tad thinner in the 2000. It seems I got a good deal then and the 1000 is mint, considering it's age!!

The later one came in the original box with a warranty card dated 2009.

I think I'll be putting the 2000 on my wmr which will be better with the thin reticle for bunnies at 100yds and the other on my .243 for woodland stalking,

Cheers

I have an illuminated version on my .243, excellent glass only issue is the illuminated central dot is too big, would be much better if it was mil dot size or smaller.
