    Meopta scopes

Has anyone owned or used a Meopta rifle scope? I have just purchased a minty Sako 6.5 and fancy putting one on it. I fancy a variable with 50mm objective are they available and more to the point any feed back on the Meopta range.
The ORDNANCE QF 18 pounder Field Gun......I wonder if they will let me have one of these on an open ticket

I had a Meopta 7 x 50 for a while. It was fine and I traded it in for a Swarovski. Regards JCS

Yeah, had a 3.5 (?) -12 x 56 and only got rid of it because I wanted an illuminated ret. Had on a .270 and shot plent of red and roe. Good scope.

Hi 3006 i have used a 3-12x56 Meopta profesionaly, all winds& weather for the past ten years with no problems at all, very good reasonably priced scopes, i would say do it. W.S.

I have a 7x50 with illuminated ret that used to be on my .243 . Nothing wrong with them at all. It now sits on my .17 HMR.

one step down from vintage S&B IMO

very fine scope for the money

Good glass, sadly lacking in range of crosshair movement and the cheapo adjustment turrets are a PITA.
I personally would not say that they are on par with S&B in glass, good but not that good.
    Fine for entry level scopes.

Me too but probably more like 14 years (3-12 x 50). Great scopes for the money.

Do not know about the rest of the range but the Meopro is nothing to write home about imo, certainly nowhere near S&B etc
