Have you considered any other calibres? Someone on here might be able to suggest something better than a 243? Sorry, I couldn't resist!

I went for Sako85 in .243 and in 22-250 and both guns are fantastic. I'm sure there are quite a few good ones out there but can't reccomend these highly enough!

I shoot a Sako 85 varmint .243 and I Love it....I shoot tons of foxes and many roe and fallow each year with this versatile little calibre!! However.....Unless you are exchanging the .22-250 for the .243 I would strongly advise going for a larger calibre!! if you do all your foxing with the -250 then there really is no need to buy the minimum calibre for deer, as tbh the 2 calibres are very similar!! You're choice of course but I would go 6.5x55, 7mm-08 or .308 for example, if its to be a sole deer rifle.
    regards,

I will be exchanging 22.250 and use the 243 for fox and deer but did not want to sell it before I got the new 243

Skip all that Finnish/American rubbish and just go straight to a quality German rifle, saves a lot of time and heartache....
