Load suggestions for Berger 140gn VLD Hunting in 6.5x55

I have surrendered to impulse and picked up a box of the Bergers in the title as possible Scottish Red medicine.

Now looking for load recipe suggestions.

The rifle is a Tikka so "modern commercial action" pressures are acceptable.

    In stock I have Tubal 3000, 5000, Reloder 25 and Viht N160.

Primers will be Remington Large Rifle.

Suggestions that I use them as fishing sinkers will be met with mild amusement/sarcasm.

I have now done some research on other fora.

The Bergers will go in the target shooting box.

There - I told you it was an impulse!

Correct answer! Now, get some 140gr SSTs and pack 46.7grains of that N160 behind them... 2,660fps will do damage aplenty

    Cheers

really liked the idea of using bergar hunting bullets in my 6,5x284.
what a night mare they were . 1 redstags never to be seen again. 1 fallow buck shot behind the shoulder ran 1/4mile lucky for me was shot by friend down the valley
when we opened it up was just a 6.5 size hole straight through no expansion at all.
    cheers jeff

So, would anyone like to buy a nice, yellow plastic box for £25 - oh, it'll have 100 Berger VLD's in it.
