I think B&Q fit your criteria - if you have a problem then Customer Services are 50/50 at best*

I suppose to turn this on its head - how can you protect yourself against the very few people who may be less than honest?

TBH if it's only a small amount of money then I don't worry too much. If we are looking at big money I always look to see how long they have been a member and selling. It is a huge disadvantage that when the seller marks a thread as sold it is closed, as when I bought stuff I'd often go back to the thread and add a little comment - like feedback on ebay.

If you want a lot of money from me I want your name, address and phone number. I will check that against the electoral role to make sure it seems legit. I have also asked sellers to send me a copy of some photographic ID with their name and address on - sometimes the first page of the FAC or SGC.

You can always ask for extra pictures of an item etc.

If they are up to no good then further information is not usually forthcoming.

Section 161 of the Highways Act 1980 (England & Wales) makes it an offence to discharge a firearm within 50 ft of the centre of a highway with vehicular rights without lawful authority or excuse, if as a result a user of the highway is injured, interrupted or endangered.
