    Hi everyone,
I am away to look at a bit of ground this weekend in Dumfries for a mate of mine and was just wondering what the stags and Hinds are like down that neck of the woods. Also, whats the weather like cause I don't want to get drowned or cooked lol

Which part of Dumfries ? It's a big place. I'm on a spot near Castle Douglas, no reds there (not in past 5 years) as for weather it's changeable sunny one minute bucketing it down the next. Biggest issue at the moment will be those microscopic midgets with teeth & appetite like a school of piraņa.

D&G has the highest rainfall in the UK and is up there with midges too so go prepared. I go to a chalet near Kipford and the roe are out all day even using the roads to shift grazing... Great pub in Kipford and great central location.
