    First day on new lease

Not a lot of deer seen in the forestry but this guy decided to walk out.

Luckily no drag involved as he was next to the track where we could get a vehicle, but weighing 230lb with head and legs removed and in a ditch, I had forgot how big and cumbersome these big boys are. It took about half an hour to get him into the vehicle (I'm getting weaker in my old age). A good result.

Thanks all, it was a big opener and certainly a big reminder of the difference between roe and red. I think I will stick to Roe. (But if another is near the track ???????????? who knows).
