Don't a percentage of Grouse profits go to the League Against Cruel Sports? Not that it makes it taste any worse I suppose

Where on earth have you heard that??? I've seen the recent press reports about the cosmetics company, Lush, giving part of their profits to the Hunt Sabs, but never anything about Famous Grouse/Gloag/Edrington

If it's true, I think we should be told

First I've heard of that too!
Famous grouse is apparently the best selling blend in scotland, I've no idea why as it's certainly not the best tasting!!

PS, without being too pedantic, there is no "E" in Scottish whisky!

The "E" is only in the american spelling so if its got an E dont buy it

I thought the 'e' was not just American, but also Irish....and that I would buy

    famous grouse

I wish I had heard about this two weeks ago as I was at their place in Creiff and nothing was mentioned, mind you nothing had been asked.
The one thing that was said was that in a Glasgow pub one of their rarest single malts was for sale at 1200 per shot, apparently it's very nice .
By the way the bird on the advert has a name , any gueses? and no it's not dinner.

I read it a while ago, think it was in a paper that one of the owners bought in, he saw it as an ironic way of contributing to LACS funds as so many fieldsports etc serve it, I'll try and find out a bit more and let you know.
