SHOT OUT Sako 75 Stainless in Action I or III

    Hi all

Redundancy looms so looking for a project...

Does anyone have a shot out Sako 75 Stainless in Action I or Action III that is gathering dust as it isn't grouping under 6"??

    Just to confirm:
    Action I is - .222 & .223
    Action III is - .22-250, .243, .260, 7mm-08 and .308

The rifle is going to be either a Varmint Laminated Stainless, a Hunter Stainless or a Hunter Laminated Stainless

I only want one, and don't mind which, as will rebarrel the Action I in .223 or the Action III in 6.5x47mm, and am looking for a donor action and stock.

    Many thanks
    iain

Rocking horse cr*p might be easier to find, but it's only been three weeks so maybe I'm expecting too much

I'd buy PKL's .243 even though it's a blued action, but I'd only to spend under £500 as the barrel will go straight in the bin!!

ha ha ha, I couldn't even sell it to you knowing that :-)..that barrel is almost pristine, shoots ragged holes!

out of curiousity, what work would you do on the stock front?

    LOL, can't blame you :-)

I'll be using HPS Target Rifles to fit a 6.5x47mm Lother Walthar barrel, so they'll be doing all the work for me...

    BUMP

Priority is the Action I - .222 or .223 - as redundancy has arrived

    Thanks

One quick FAC variation from .223 (Action I) to .22-250 (Action III) and I have arrived home with EyeFor's horribly accurate, Grade 1 condition Sako 75 Synthetic Stainless .22-250 complete with A-Tec CMM4 mod and a wodge of brass in various stages of fired/fire-formed/cleaned/sized/etc...

I've got a 1in8" twist Lothar Walthar barrel on order for a January fitting, so will play with 55gr until that arrives when I can start playing with 75gr A-Max.

Sightron SIII SS 6-24x50 LRIRMOA Scope will be fitted on Thursday when the Optilocks arrive, and ready to hit BSRC next Wednesday to zero.

EyeFor was great to deal with. A real gent and I'd highly recommend.

Thanks for all the PMs and offers of help. Some cracking folks on here

    Cheers
