    Trained hunter

If a deer is shot on estate ground by a stalker with trained hunter status , then the estate extract the carcass who's trained hunter details are tagged to the carcass ?

I'd say whoever is carrying out the gralloch/inspection and allowing it into the food chain should tag it

What if the extraction is carried out much later ? Can the trained hunter ask for the carcass to be written off ?

I'd tag the beastie with my own tag at the point of gralloch and ensure I recorded the details in my own log in case of repercussions.
I assume you logged the time and date in the estate register anyway along with your details?
Below is a link to my website.

Are you positive it went to the game dealer ?
I heard it went to the scrap yard.

If you have tagged the deer it is your responsibility. Your name numbers time and date should be on the tagg. Any problems should have been noted. If it hits the Game dealer a week later as high as a kite then you have reason to suggest it was not properly chilled lol.
Might i add if i put a deer into the food chain i see it to the end.

The terms and conditions stated all extraction to be carried out by the estate .

What has me worried is the fact the beast could have booked a b& b he spent that long on the floor ..
