    Plano Gun cases

These seem like high spec cases for the money. Does anyone know anything about them?

I have one of the 42" cases for my AR-10. So far, so good. Pretty tough.
You guys, however, are getting pillaged on the price. They run $70 US for the 42" here.~Muir

The operative words! I do like the Pelicans but I can buy three of the Plano for the cost of a single Pelican.~Muir

Pelican cases are around $225 here and I can buy the Plano for $70. I'll take 3 for the price of one any day. It's just a gun case after all. I must admit, the 42" model just accommodated my full sized AR-10. Next time I'll get a longer one.~Muir

I have a Plano 42" sitting waiting for me in Florida, will pick it up when we next go over to see our friends there, as Muir said $70 so over 100 cheaper than over here (as usual). I've just had my friend bring me a few bits back (well quite a bit really!) as she's been over visiting her son who's in the US Army at Fort Drum. Saved a fortune on a Rem 870 mag extension, stock for my Handi Rifle, assorted Lee dies and other bits as well as lots of nice RCBS case lube

That's only 42 pounds over there, correct? Did I get that right?? Wow. I have noticed over the years on this site that usually, it's "dollar to the pound" when it comes to US goods sold in England. This is twice that rate. I wonder why??~Muir

Exchange rate I get with my pre-paid Master Card is 1 - $1.58 at the moment so around 45

A lot of stuff comes over at a straight to $ conversion or worse, especially on MidwayUK

Strangest thing (for me) was a Hatsan shotgun, bought one here in 2007 for around 270, exchange rate at the time was almost 1 - $2 yet we were standing in Bass Pro in Orlando and the same gun was $250!, considering it had to be shipped over 3000 miles to get there it made no sense it could be so cheap?
