Magnetospeed no screens and will do subsonic stuff too.
Superchrono is limited in use, will not do owt but supersonic measurement.

Magnetospeed that's the one that look like a bayonet!
Thats pricey too! I didn't think they would cost that much. I don't need to test subs! I don't have any or plans to make any nowadays!
    So,
I won't use it much! I don't want to spend to much to be honest!
Is there any one who will let me borrow or rent one for a while!

I was thinking of getting a Magnetospeed next trip to the US but saw they won't work with cast boolits, a lot of my shooting is indoors so jacketed bullets are not allowed. One of my clubs has a Chrony with the external readout and diffusion screens, most of the time it works OK.
There's room for all Gods creatures ........... right next to the mash and gravy

They work fine with 40 grain 22 subsonics, at least mine does.

Sorry, should have explained that better

It was the reduced reliability using a combination of lead boolits and speeds under 1000fps that put me off it, all my indoor subsonic loads are around 800-900fps.

I have lead bullets record every time down to 600 fps and also checked air rifle with normal pellets down to that speed - the chrono did not miss one shot.
I have not noticed 'reduced reliability' as yet, the one caveat is that you do need to set up sensitivity of the chrono (which is easy enough to do).

This works fine for my needs and didn't break the bank.

    check with your local range.
My range (the tunnel at charmouth) have chronos available to use.
