Must be plenty of you on here that uses it, would you say it was quite a punchy kicky powder, would hodgdon feel softer to shoot with.

Swaro,

I use it in my Swede. I've little experience of other powders, but don't find N160 unpleasant to shoot in my rifle.

Cheers,

Bob

Works a treat in my Swede too. Hard to see that any N160 load could be described as harsh on recoil.

I use N160 in .243 (75-100gr), .270 (110-150gr) and 300WM (175-208gr)

I like it
burns clean, good case fill ratios
have recently tried H4831 and N165 in the 300
cant say I noticed a recoil difference but the groups were better with N160

i would say it is comparable to RL22, H4831

I'm with bewsher500.
I've used N160 for years in my 220AI and 6mm/284 and have never had any descernable difference. And recently have been working up loads for my 284 along with H4831Sc, H4350 and N560 and was getting no recognisable difference in regard to recoil, the N160 won through accuracy wise.

N160 is defo good for accuracy, maybe the 6.5 06 just has a little bit more kick than I thought it would,

Am yet to try h4831sc, its as rare as rocking horse sh-t at the mo grrrr, bloody americans obviously excluding muir 6p sika etc :D

I have some if you want to try half/third of a tub and know anyone passing this way
Will be driving down to London on the 4/5th if that is any use

Thanks for the offer bewsher but I am still a long way of london, my mate texted me an hour ago and said he mite know of some available :D, ive got my 1000yd load sorted now on n160 and imr 4350,will shoot my barrel out testing ammo at this rate, i may try a box of vlds though :thumb:
