I have had 3 hornets, which I k'd all of them. One thing I will say is putting in a k chamber is not a gurantee of increased velocity. It will extend case life. I have found the k hornets have a preference for 2205 powder where the standard hornets seem to like win 296.Which one should I go for ?
Here in Australia hornet factory ammo is quite expensive $70 for a box of Remington 45 grain. And to buy brass separately is hard to get as well. I'm looking to get mine k'd to get longer brass life. Not for more performance. I love the hornet how it is, just not the hard to get and expensive ammo!Standard hornet with shop available ammo is a lovely shooting calibre why make things difficult having to source brass and altering actions and so on
With the brnos and I assume the czs you have to depress the shoulder of the case in the magazine to get the rim of the next care in. It's not to hard when you get the hang of it, just a little awkward at night when fingers are cold.Hi big oak, I have a 22h in cz 527 and have been thinking of having mine done. How much does it affect the loading the magazine? Not trying to hijack the thread here BTW.
