Taking a sound moderator abroad NZ

    Anyone any experience withthe above.

I'm off to NZ I've sorted out a visitors permit which i beleive allows me to borrow/buy a gun ot there and hunt. Also it ats as an import pemit for any gun i bring (i'm not going to as can't face the ball ache plus we will be visiting HK, |Sing and Aus)
I was going to take a scope but was wondering about taking a mod?

Also what happens if i leave it there? Do i sign it off my FAC (surely not)

    thanks

    John

John easy enough to take rifles out there and bring them back, Nz police are great to deal with and have hundreds of firearms owners visit each day.
if you take a mod then you may as well take the rifle as it will be classed the same, atb wayne

Why not buy a new PES while you're out there, might save a few quid

Would be interested in how you get on in New Zealand and which option you went for (buying or taking your own rifle).

Have you arranged your hunting with a company there or hunting public land?

Dont know about the mod but NZ police have an online form for bringing your own. Easy to do and it costs you $25 NZ at the airport when you arrive..So simple and streamlined compared to all of the t crossing and i dotting coming into Aus.
"you nae be needing these no more"
I said as I slipped the knife through the cord
