Turkeys are not just for Christmas

We tried to breed a few turkeys this year and here is the result. The boys are just showing off! Just don't mention stuffing. Have a great Christmas.

Lookin good...... Best watchdogs you'll ever find.... Geese and guinnea are good but turkeys are prettier..... Have you got the heart to butcher them now that you are making family pics of them?

They do look good. Many years ago a lad at work bought some young birds with the idea of bringing them on for Christmas. Word got round and people ordered them well in advance. Unfortunately not all of them survived to maturity and he ended up buying some more to fulfil the orders so he didn't make any money. He also found plucking to be a lot harder than it looks.
