    CookBook reviews please

    I collect cookery books, with particular emphasis on game and venison cookery..
    Could anyone review these books please..
    thinking of a purchase..

    I'm not looking for basic stuff. more advanced.. restaurant style cooking is my thing.. I like books for inspiration..

    Just for info, got the New Michel Roux JR book, cooking with the masterchef.. Quite a nicely written book, with some game recipes included. 2 for 10 in WH Smiths at present.

    Try the original game cookery book (game conservancy trust) written by Julia Drysdale. Modern reprint is on amazon, edited by barbara thompson.

    these certainly aint for the advanced ...more for folks like me or the boys if showing an interest....

    yeah, Im past Stewart's Venison Fillet, Chips and beans.... or Duck Pizza...
    I tend not to follow recipes, but like the inspiration on flavour combos...
    With a son who wants to to be the next Pierre Koffman, and Wife that would challenge Giles Coren as a Critique.. I have to keep ahead of the game.
    PLus it gives Ben stuff to read, and inspire..

    As for sampling...... We'll work on that when you get home...
