Help in identifying this rear target type sight

    Hi there,
Hoping someone can help identify this rear sight which I got as part of a job lot of shooting related stuff a few years back.
The usual internet searches have proved fruitless and any information at all would be appreciated.
On the underside it has what looks like an S superimposed over a small R at the top and an M at the bottom with the numbers 608.
It has the tool and box as shown.
    Thanks in advance

Guessing here, the lettering bei if German, would fit in with the German for left and right on windage, Links / Rechts.

I think it's a Walther one not Anschutz , match air rifle ???

I believe it's off an entry level target air rifle of some 25 years ago but the actual make eludes me for the time being. I am fairly sure that we have a similar sight hanging around in the armoury at the rifle club but the rifle that it belonged to has long gone. It's definitely German in origin of that I'm certain. I think that similar sights were also fitted to junior .22 target rifles made by Anschutz.
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

I have seen a pretty similar sight on an old Side lever Anschutz target springer air rifle, but it was a few years ago.

I agree. Looks like an air rifle sight. We used to get similar units through our gunshop years ago.~Muir

Thanks for all your replies chaps.
Also particular thanks to Tamus who may be correct however my entire repertoire of German is 2 phrases both gleaned from a boyhood diet of the Victor comic! ("Donner und blitzen" and "Hande hoch Tommy"
The sight is actually from a 70's Diana Model 60 ( German made) Air Rifle
    Again thanks
