    Very nice Tamus, how does the 30r Blaser round compare to .308/3006 ?

    Nearest ballistic equivalent is probably 300 H&H... ie. it is a step up from 30-06. The 180grainers I was using launch from t'barrel at around 2820fps.

    In material terms... you'd be hard pushed to notice the difference between it and .30-06 though. I certainly don't... and I shoot both.

    Very nice and with a good scope on it would be a good deer rifle as well. 30R Blaser is on a par if not a bit more powerful than 30-06.

    That is a thing of absolute beauty in a very usable calibre.

    It's a nice gun, not mine though... at least not yet...

    But I agree, the calibre is very versatile and practical for the UK shooter and travelling gun.
