    Are they protected all over the UK? If I get a chance at one with a full fur, it'll be a hat......

    Yes, other than in the experimental cull areas.

    Odd one this

    The pelts can only be sold with a vets cert, and can`t imagine to many "dodgy" sporran or brush makers willing to take the risk on them.

    Self tanning maybe ?

    Saying that, they may have all been roadkill, nothing illegal in skinning a dead badger

    If you find a dead one you can obtain a cert from the vet and sell the pelt, but if you find one I think you can keep the pelt for yourself, The illegal act is to deliberately kill one isn`t it ?

    I may be wrong, but would be interested to find out
