    Fox Weights

This may have been covered before but I would be interested to know if many people on here have weighed any big foxes.
We had one yesterday which seemed quite big and it weighed 20lbs. I have shot many foxes but this is the first one I have weighed but I don't recall having seen any noticeably bigger than this one.
No doubt others will have shot plenty which are much bigger and I would like to hear about them.

We have loads of foxes that are 'well over 20lbs' - until we weigh them, when we discover that most of the big ones are actually about 18 - 19lbs. We do have a few that are in the 20+lbs zone though - mind you, as we shot just over 250 foxes last year, you'd expect us to find a few heavy ones amongst them!

A vixen which went away for testing on Thursday went 20lbs....She was bigger than the average dog fox.
My total for the year in a 5 mile radius was 90...all on foot.

I would say ours are broadly similar.

hi, I shot a dog here in Sussex last year, it weighed in at 34lb, though most dogs are usually 20lb ish, I carry a case weighing scale in the car so know this was correct, I thought of sending the picture of it to fieldsports channel but they had one of 40lb I think so I didn't bother, I shoot a fair few for people and do get larger boys some times but this one was unusual. best wishes cw

Accounted for two dog foxes Wednesday night Both were huge, two handed jobbies, the three tonight ( so far ) tiny little things 1 dog 2 vixens gotta be a third smaller easy and all within a 100 acres of each other, all aged, tooth wear in perfect condition, they must be getting same amount of food as they all are heavy accordingly for the size.

Got to make a point of weighing the big ones
