    Ammunition advice

I have a tikka t3 .243 what factory ammunition and bullet weight would you recommend for Roe and for a Sako 75 .308 again what would you recommend for Red and Sika.

    Thanks

any 75-100gr .243, 150-180gr .308 in soft point flavour, find one that works well in your rifles though. some may not

My Tikka T3 (.243) loves Hornady SST (superformance) 95grain.

They do the business on munties, roe and fallow as well!

Need to take care with 243 as heads over 100grn may not work as well if barrel twist rate is not right. I use 87grn VMAX in my 243 - excellent round, even out to 200yrds. My rifle simply wouldn't group as well with the heavier heads.
As for 308 I swear by Nosler 150grn BTs.

    DOn't overlook GECO 105gr in .243 and 170gr in .308. My rifles like both, and they're a little over 20 a box.

Ive just got some of these and I'm very pleased with the results in my T3 .243 I had tried Federal 100 and 80gn which we're grouping over 4 inches at 100m, Lapua and PPU were next at about 2 inches and then the SST under an inch. Its expensive trying out new ammo but when you find the right one your confidence and satisfaction goes right up.
