Trying out my new camera with my young cocker

Bought myself a new camera for my upcoming honeymoon and finally remembered to take it out with me to get some snaps of my young cocker during his first season working and to try to get used to it...some came out ok but more practice required on using it properly needed....

This cock bird is probably 1/3 of the dog's weight bit he is a strong little dog...

    this one is may favourite...

he is still very alert whilst sitting and posing for photos so getting him to sit still was quite an achievement!

then he finally spotted a pigeon and wasn't going to stay still much longer haha!

Brilliant pics. But how do you get a cocker to sit for a pic ?

he will sit on the whistle quite well, but not for long before he gets bored or goes off mousing!

Very good photos. They bring back very pleasant memories. I found it very tricky to take photos of my black spaniel, but these photos are excellent. Thanks JCS
