There is a reasonable BSA CF2 for sale at Linc Shooting Centre (Burgh Guns Shop) or correction it was the last time I looked acouple of weeks ago.

I am north of Bristol. I had a look at CF2s but because the action is the same size for all of the calibres it is rather large for a 222 so I am not looking for one unless it is stupidly cheap.
I would be interested in a Hunter or Royal or Majestic in good nick but they are thin on the ground.

    But thanks for posting.

    Jack,

You missed one the "Regent" OK you do know that the bolt throw on the CF2 is the right length for the cartridge don't you? They machined the bolt stop in the correct place for each cartridge length so although it's a one action size fits all (To appease the accountant ) there is no extra bolt throw.

Now on Guntrader I just did a quick search and found a BSA Majestic for 150. OK I have only seen the photos but it's at :-

    Brendon Morland - Gilsan Sports Ltd - 2 High Street, Leyburn, North Yorkshire. DL8 5AQTel: 01969-623 942, Fax: 01969-622 709

And I can say that speaking to Brendon on the phone is not only pleasent but he appears to be Honest. In fact this is where my P-H 1200C came from just before Christmas. I got it shipped down to my loacal gunshop to save the long trek. So it might be worth a phone call to ask what the barrel is like

Next up we have the Parker-Hale Safari .222 with drop mag. This model was introduced in 1967 and was only made for the 222 rem cartridge again on Guntrader for 225 at:-

    Paul Rushton - Pr Arms - Willerby, Hull, East Yorkshire. HU10 6ESTel: 01482-653 414, Tel2: 07970-945 226, Fax: 01482-653 414

    Never dealt with them so?

Only other one is a BSA CF2 .

Oh I am not connected in any way other than being a Customer with Guntrader. I used it to find the P-H 1200C.

As for the older BSA's being hard to find Tell me about it. I spent about 8 years looking for a good Hunter in .222 rem and then I thought I had found one it turns out to be a Regent of 1956 vintage and not a hunter but I brought it :-

Just to get you going of course .
