    Scope mounting

Has anybody got real life experience using 2 scopes on a CZ 452?
thinking of a day scope and a photon.
Have been trying 2 different scopes and interchanging for a while now and not really noticing
any change of point of impact when taking 1 scope complete with rings and replacing with another.
Everything i read says its a no no, but what is the actual reality in other peoples experience.
I'm beginning to think its mainly a confidence thing

I used to do it on a 452, both sets of rings were genuine CZ items, never had an issue.
I just used to line the front ring up with the front edge of the dovetail and away you go.
I have also done it on a 527, again genuine CZ rings, I have also just bought a set of QD
Warne rings, not had the opportunity to try them out yet.
The biggest failing with dovetails on rimfires is how well (or not) they are matched to the rings.

Cheers for that, seems to be a lot of myth about it that provokes spending unnecessarily

Not so, decent rings is never wasted money.
Yes you can swap scopes on tip off rings sometimes with no trouble at all, but I have had it fail on more rifles than it worked on.

I have one piece weaver rails on my rimfire and CF rifles.
Used with genuine weaver, or any good weaver type rings, and you can change scopes without issue, so long as you apply close to the same torque setting each time.
