    Ammo allowance

I'm in the process of moving changing my license from Cumbria to Lancashire. Do lancs count expanding bullets in your total allowance as Cumbria only count them when made up into rounds.

By law expanding bullets ALWAYS count as part of your ammo allowance.

Section 161 of the Highways Act 1980 (England & Wales) makes it an offence to discharge a firearm within 50 ft of the centre of a highway with vehicular rights without lawful authority or excuse, if as a result a user of the highway is injured, interrupted or endangered.

Cheers for that. Apache when I asked Cumbria they said they didn't count them until they were a complete round so I went with what they said

Always assume the person speaking to you at firearms control know nothing and is not speaking on behalf of the authority they are employed by

As of late 2012 I believe all police authorities (they are not "forces") agreed a universal approach to alallowance although that has been changed again recently with the ditching of the "buy" "hold" bollox
