Have heard that the shooting rail is a bit low, but they are good for the money if you can get the rail adjusted up a bit.

I'd agree, the rail is too low but a part from that they are ok.

Ok cool i can weld so that'll be no issue to adapt then. This one has a plastic seat so may have been modded already coz i thought they were timber?

cut myself badly on the mesh that was welded on the rungs to give you foot grip and a mates trousers got ventilated on the same said mesh, bar has to be adjusted unless you climb down a step for every shot!

    but they do...

I had same issue with cutting my on the mesh its f##king sharpe
Used a bit of timber to raise the shooting rest by about 4 inches.
Other than that good value and seems to be weathering ok

the rail pivots on the back so you can loosen off the back disconect the front lift it up and add an extension. i have 2 that have been up for 4 years or so that are working ok. they aint great but do the job. I have been told the rail is lower coz they were designed for bow hunting.

    Ive got 3 of them.
The old one with the wooden seat and back rest now needs some welding where the ladder brackets meet the seat unit at the front as both welds have now parted company. After 3 years outside.
The two newer ones with the plastic seat and backrest seem ok at the moment after 2 years outside.
At 95 each they are good value.
As with other posts the top rail could be 4" higher, and yes the welded mesh to the rungs does catch and rip everything to shreds !!!!!!!

If you can, get them wax oiled or covered by someother coating system to prolong their life.
Out of the four on our shoot 2 have gone as B&W stated and on the third a rung has failed.

Going to try and weld one up myself just to see how difficult it is.
