I think I would also feel strongly about it but I wouldn't be named and photographed for the media.

This guy has been trying to get compensation since last year, his hunting trip was ruined as his rifle didn't turn up, now I believe the rifle has turned up but his bolt & ammunition is missing. The airline have said he needs to provide an "expert" to state that the rifle is useless without the bolt as they are not wanting to pay compensation.
I used to work at an airport I can honestly say customer service is well down the list of airport & airline priorities

I had this when I put my silenced 12 gauge in for a service to a well known maker of moderated shotties & they mislaid it for a couple of months. After several trips there with no success I started to get annoyed. Just as it was about to get awkward for them, after they were told to 'find it or I will report it' then someone did go through the whole inventory and it was found eventually. They did knock a big chunk off the bill but it was not a good experience & I have not used them since.
