    Clean Roe buck

It was a lovely day here today, sun out for a change so I decided to have a quick walk about with the rifle this evening and after a few minutes I spotted a roe deer lying down two fields away. I stalked up to within 100yds and lay down with the binos. I could see he was a button buck so I stayed put to see if his sister would appear.......about ten minutes had passed by when another deer appeared from the undergrowth behind. It turned out to be a six point buck, entirely clean from velvet, he was looking in good shape and he gradually fed his way along the hedge until he was 40yds away. I crept back the way I'd come and left him in peace.........
Anyone else seen any clean bucks yet this year?

I mean bucks which have already shed their velvet, and are now entirely clean

It`s crazy though. I saw a nice buck, in full heavy velvet in early Dec, and less than a mile away I saw one in full heavy velvet yesterday, a full 2 months later.

I`d love to catch up with that first one to see the state of his heed now.
