    Climbing into highseats.

    How do you do it?
Highseats come in all sizes. How do you manage without knocking your rifle or scope?

I usually knock my rifle and scope and my size tens seem to have an uncanny ability to catch something or other..

Unless youve got a bino caddy they seem to pop out even though you were dam sure you tucked them in..

Therefore ive been made to take a sleeping bag and stay in the seat overnight ready for the morning

I am terrible at getting in the bloody things..

If you haven't tried it basil, put your rifle round your front and try that...... I find it works a treat.

I`ve tried a couple of ways.
Seems like you catch the mod going up and the butt going down, if you are really unlucky or careless you knock the scope. .

i make the rifle safe then tie a piece of rope around it then pull it up with arms outstretched away from the frame, never knocked it this way (yet) .

If you have a seat that is a little cramped or the position is crowded, then Lee has the prescribed method!

If I'm exclusively using a highseat I carry my rifle there in a slip. The same as if I were out on the hill. It is sufficiently padded to at least give the belief that a "knock" won't do harm!
