    Berger VLD and Lee dies

    Hi,

I am going to be using the 6mm 105 grain Berger VLD hunting bullets in my 243.

I have seen that some reloading dies are not internally long enough to accept the VLD bullets. Apparently they can mark or damage the bullet. There is actually a video on youtube uploaded by Berger explaining this potential issue, they say that Redding dies are the solution?

I am wondering if this is truly the case and if Lee dies will work without any of the aforementioned problem.

    cheers

Yes mate, only the seating die would give this issue.

Since posting this I have asked an expert. He confirmed my fears, although quickly put them to rest, he has kindly offered to do as you suggested, drill out and extend the internals to accept the 6mm 105 grain Berger VLD Hunting bullets.

    Cheers
