    New Member - 'old hand'

Hello, I live in the North Yorkshire and Cumbria, where I have shooting for Game, Wildfowl and Deer. I have shot and stalked plus fished throughout the UK and also shot boar in France & Turkey. I mainly stalk Roe & Red Deer in a number of location in Scotland, with access to some very special stalking. I have had the opportunity to achieve a 'royal' macnab as well as a number of macnab's. I shoot about 20+ days a year with a keen focus on driven grouse which is aided by being the co-owner of a productive grouse moor. I try and stalk as much as possible but often find that my activity is focused on the weeks I have standing bookings for in Scotland. I did use a variety of calibres in my early years of stalking, I now favour a .243 that Ian Thompson built for me in the early 1990's. I also have rifles by MacKay Brown, Gibbs, Rigby and Browning (double rifle D5G). I love my H&H 12 bore that is like a 'magic wand' against grouse.
