That was all data the Berger ballistician emailed me .

I also had him send me data for the 6.5x55 , 260 and 264 Win Mag . He sent me data for all the 6.5 bullet weights for the four cartridges .

In my own rifle I'm loading 53 grains of RL-22 with the Berger 130 VLD Hunting bullet . I've shot several 1/2 MOA or better groups with the load at 100 yards . A couple good groups at 200 meters and a couple at 300 meters .

My normal range only goes to 100 yards and our long range has the berms at meters 100 , 200 , 300 and 400 . I anticipate trying it at 400 meters soon . But the winter snow , freezing and thawing has it like a mud bog out there so haven't made it that far "yet" !

OBTW , at the moment I have my rifle set up more like a target gun .

Triggers at about 10-12 ounces with no creep and I have my old Leupold Vari XIII 6.5-20x40mm with the target dot on top .

Once I'm finished playing I'll put the Leupold Vari XIII 4.5-14x40AO duplex back on top and change the trigger back to about 2- 2 1/4 pounds .

I also have the rifle sighted on at the moment 3 1/2" high at 100 yards . By Noslers manual this is supposed to be about dead on at 300 yards . I can say it's about 5" low at 300 meters or 330 yards .

I truely wish I had a 26 Nosler with a Shilen #4 stainless 26" 1-8 twist set up right now with another 6.5-20 on top so I could compare .

I might drag my Ruger #1B 264 Win Mag out and see how it does in comparison as I have it set up with the Berger 130 VLD huntng as well .

I have no intention of getting rid of any of my #1's but at some point I'd like to have rebarreled stainless barreled 700's in 26 Nosler , 264 Win Mag , 6.5-06 and 260 REM or 6.5x55 .

If I can get the 26 done this year as I'm hoping and perhaps pick up another rifle for the 260 or 6.5x55 I just might have that accomplished in a year or two LOL's !

Sorry about your health issue !

I used to scoff at things like that but now on the other side of 50 I feel a good many things I didn't used to thats for sure .

I think it's kinda funny me being American and all that the variouse 30 cals are not in my top cartridge lists . Granted I have messed with them all at one point or another . Well all the "normal" ones except the 300 H&H and I'm hoping to remedy that soon . But my lack of intrest for the 30 cals is exactly opposite in my feelings for the variouse 6.5mm and 7mm cartridges . Matter of fact I've spent close to the last twenty years messing with a throng of cartridges in those two calibers . And I must say I find it quite enjoyable .

So with that being said I already have my 6.5-06 built on a nice old 700 action . So this year I have two objectives in the world of rifles . The first being to get a nice old 700 long action with a magnum bolt face and barrel it for a 26 Nosler . The second is to get my hands on one of the relatively new Ruger #1B's in 300 H&H MAG .

Next year will be for building possibly a 264 Win Mag and a 260 REM on nice old 700 actions with Shilen stainless barrels .

Although I do have my eye on an Interams Mark X in our shop that would be CRACKING (as you blokes say) for building a 6.5x55 !
