ID:	39781home made cooler ive used 70mm kingspan and 9mm of osb .just need to fiberglass the lid .I was thinking about cutting a 6inch hole in the lid and fitting a 12volt fan they are only£5 on ebay I think it would help circulate the cold air from my frozen water bottles.has anyone else made one of these how long did it keep the ice frozen if it lasts 3 days then its job done

How are you getting on with your cooler ? Did you put a fan in it ?

Nice work toad. That's a great idea for anyone who has to travel some distance and get the carcass home now the weather is getting warmer.

just looking through some old threads and found this . to answer your questions lads a real success story it works a treat it will keep milk bottles frozen solid for 5 days no problem even after 9 days there is still some ice in the bottles. only one problem I took measurements off my l200 which has a bigger back than other pickups so if you share your driving take measurments off smallest vehicle

    did you fiberglass it?
    How much does it weigh?
I have an icey tec and would like a smaller one for fishing trips. Oftn looked at the icey tec and thought it cant be that hard to make.
Got any pictures of it glassed up?

I did glass the under side of the door just to stop any kingspan rubbing off. not sure on the weight very manageable on your own . if you intend to use on a boat I would glass it all which will increase your build cost
