    Vortex Viper HD Binoculars

Been looking at a pair of 8x42 Vortex Vipers binos as they get a good write up, anyone got any other recommendations for a budget of 400-500?

Where there are more Muntjac than you can shake a stick at
Pre-owned or ex-demo Zeiss Conquest HD 8x42 would be within budget ; very nice glass but check to see if they give you enough eye relief.

I had a pair of Vortex Razor 8x42, my friend has the viper 8x42 pre hd, now I use Kaps 8x42 in a similar price.
Optically I almost thought the Viper was better than the Razor, is lighter and smaller however with less field of view if I remember right. The Kaps ticks all boxes, lighter than both, larger field of view and has the optical left right eye adjuster on the right lens where it doesn't get adjusted by mistake. On the Vortex Razor this adjuster is on the mid drum which is annoying as it adjusts itself at times. Not sure about the Viper.
I met John Dean recently and had a look through the Sightron binos and thought they had good offerings too.
