3D printers and fiddly bits of kit

I've been watching a 3D printer in a place I'm working at the moment. They use it to make clips and fiddly bits of kit for lab work. It's pretty good at it too, although it's just a "cheap desk top model" (about £2.5k !).

It seems to me that there's an opportunity for an enter preneur :) type person to make some decent scope covers that don't break (like the ones with the initials BC) plus other fiddly and up till now expensive bits of kit?.

Not me though...I don't have enough time as it is to go shooting.
