gents, ive got some 85gn bergers (fbhp target bullets) to try in my 6.5x47l, anyone got any load data for the following powders

varget
n135
n140
n150

any help appreciated, or I just start working up from a stout load of varget which I know works with 95gn bullets..

cheers in advance

I'd just use the data from the lightest bullet listed and work up.

Velocity is going to be impressive - what's possible, 3400-3500fps?

Just looked at Hodgdons data, for a 260 Rem they list 95gr V-Max at over 3300 FPS with 42-43gr's of various powders in your burn range, all at or under 60K PSI.

I would expect 43-44gr's of Varget to give impressive results in the x47L case with the 85gr FB bullet.

I get 3072fps with 100bt's from 39.5 gn varget, thats from 20" tube, about 140fps down from when it was 24". My new rifle is going to be 26", should be able get them jogging on. They have the bc of elvis in the burger years!
